In my opinion, this is just an average hotel room. My company books and pays for my rooms, but looking at the prices online, the room was expensive for what it provided. Previous to my stay here, I stayed multiple weeks at the La Quinta, in Clifton Park, and it was a much nicer hotel, with better amenities and free breakfast (I feel bad to say that, but it is true). Pros and cons - Pros: - I didn't encounter any staff apart from when I was checking in. But the guy at the front desk was very kind, welcoming, and professional. - My room and bed were clean and comfortable. The pillows are not great, but I bring my own pillow with me when I travel, so it wasn't an issue for me personally. - They do have a beautiful, enclosed, seating area with a few tables. Excellent for relaxing outside. - Location is close to the highway. Convenience store and places to eat within walking distance. - Contrary to some other reviews, I did not see a single homeless or drunk person just wandering around outside, not even at night time. (I am a smoker so I made regular trips outside to smoke, and didn't see anything like this at all). The Sheriff's office (with lots of cops) is pretty close to here. I fe

Many parts of the room, like the bathroom, the work area, and the beds, are renovated, but the decor is kind of out of date and the outside and inside of the hotel could use some updating. The rooms in general are pretty nice compared to the outside and the outside of the rooms. The location in town, I am not sure if it is a great area of town or if in general Schenectady just looks like this, but it is a short walk away from the main street with a lot of cool restaurants and fun things to do. The front desk service overall was very nice. I would definitely stay here again. I am just not necessarily so sure about the location.

I mostly enjoyed my 2 night stay here. The gym is very nice, the hotel is updated so it looks very nice. My two gripes are that there was hair on my pillows and in the shower and that the food was way overpriced for the quality. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe something was wrong in the Kitchen when I got food but either way it was not worth the price either way. Other than those two gripes I have zero complaints, the staff was very pleasant to deal with, parking was just fine, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Just wish it was a little cleaner and the food was cheaper and tasted better.
